The yard is managed by Sam DeRuyter, who has been running her own yard since 2003.

Previous to this Sam has been a freelance groom/rider for many yards.

Sam made the move to running her own yard as she finds looking after other peoples horses very fulfilling, she loves to see people enjoying their horses as much as she always has.

Sam has been around horses all her life, getting her first pony at just 2years old.

Sam’s past and present trainers include, Marian Pace, Debbie Reed, Tim Stockdale, Henry Turrell and Alison Short.

Sam started competing BSJA on ponies and continued to have success up to 1.40m level in seniors on numerous horses. She does not compete as much as she used to as the day to day running of the yard takes up a lot of time and she likes to be on hand in case her help is needed.

Sam’s vast experience has equipped her with the knowledge to cater for all horse’s needs, both young, old and everything in between.

Being highly dedicated Sam is always on hand, living onsite. She is always happy to spend time to talk about your horses requirements and is never too busy for a cup of tea and a chat.

As well as Sam being available for any help or lessons, Sam’s mum Sue Chubb is also on the yard most days, is a qualified BHSAI and is available for lessons, where her words of encouragement are always forthcoming.

Please contact us here at Wooler Liveries if there is anything you feel we can help you with, lessons, livery, selling your horse or looking for a new one and we can guarantee we will always do our best to be of help.

Mainly the sight of happy, healthy, much loved horses with content owners is what Sam and Sue strive to achieve.
